Update for the last 5 months!

A lot of time has passed by since we last updated our blog. We last updated our blog during Easter weekend, so I figured it was time that we try and remember what has taken place between now and then.

The end of April Tommi and I started up our last semester at BYU-Idaho. Tommi took her last 6 credits she needed to graduate and I took my 6 credits and filled the rest of my schedule with some classes that I have always wanted to take; intermediate basketball being one of them.

On Father's Day we had a BBQ with the Rognon's and enjoyed watching James try and flip the meat in the midst of a river or rain draining off the roof on his back (Michelle do you have any pictures of that?)

We enjoyed spending time with the Rognon's before they moved down to Utah, but regret that we were not able to spend as much time as we hoped with them, because James-Myler was sick for most of that time.

We loved watching Jack and Elena while Michelle and James were in the Hospital to welcome Max Alan Rognon into their family (I don't remember his middle name so figured Alan was a safe one since I am his favorite Uncle).

At the end of July we enjoyed the company of Grandma and Grandpa, along with Sean, Chris, Mary and Natalie who came up to Rexburg for Max's Baby Blessing and Tommi and my Graduation and then Education Week the following week. We also enjoyed the company of Granny and Jessica who came up for Graduation.

Following Education Week we drove out to California and loved being able to spend some more time with family and especially enjoyed seeing everyone at Charlotte and Alan's Wedding. It was also fun to be at Eliza's baptism.

While we were there in California I found out that I was going to be teaching an extra class at the High School in Shelley, which started about a week and a half earlier than Bonneville High which I was already scheduled to teach two classes for. It has been a learning experience as we are teaching Old Testament this year, since I have only read through the Old Testament once before, and that was while I was taking seminary my Jr. year of High School.

As I was getting ready to teach my first lesson of the year we found out that grandpa had passed away so right after my class we drove down to Utah for the funeral. We enjoyed being able to see everyone again, as its the first time I have been able to see everyone since my mission. We were looking forward to being able to run some red lights while we were in the funeral precession, but the hurst driver was going about 5 - 10 MPH over the speed limit and left us all in the dust!

We loved the time we had to spend with Kevin and Jeanette as they flew in from so far away and also enjoyed getting to spend time and pick Uncle Mel's brain about everything that he has done in his business adventures.

Now school has been going on for about 3 1/2 weeks at Shelley and I have 19 students in that class and love getting to know their personalities and sure hope they are patient with me as I learn how to be a better teacher. I have been teaching now at Bonneville for a 1 1/2 weeks and love those students as well. My first class has 16 students and my second class has about 21 students so they are rather small compared to my class of 31 last semester.
