Chloe
we're so excited we can finally blog about Chloe Mae Amelia Williams. It is so fun to have her here and part of our family, Jimmy is adjusting to having a little sister and were all loving having another little one around. Thanks michelle and james for visiting and for the pics. This announcement was using the new digital scrapbooking skills I've been learning. It's nice to have a free hoby to work on when I get a little time to myself. (which is probably why it took me two weeks to get this done) She really has been a blessing she is full of smiles which makes the late nights easier to handle.

We Love You Chloe!
Tommi checked into Madison Memorial Hospital just before 1:00pm on Friday afternoon so that she could be induced. Chloe Mae Amelia Williams was born at 11:18pm Friday August 10th, 2012. It took Tommi a while for the pitocin to get her into active labor and since Chloe's head was bearing down so much they couldn't really break her water. Once Tommi was in transition it only took about an hour to get fully dilated and only about 10 minutes to push (3 contractions). She was also really lucky because she only tore a little bit, but it was too small to stitch.
I asked Tommi for her guess at how big the baby would be while we were waiting for the pitocin to kick in but she refused to guess. I said Chloe would be 7 lbs 2 ounces and 19 inches long. She ended up being just shy of 7 lbs 4 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. Pretty dang close!
Chloe was wide awake the whole time after she was born, which was surprising because she was moving constantly during the labor. She was not a fan of the eye ointment they put in her eyes because she wanted to keep her eyes open. I took this picture at around 2:00 am because she finally fell asleep.
The next day Grandma and Grandpa brought Jimmy to come see his new baby sister. This was his reaction, he is still in denial. Here are some more pictures of baby Chloe.
Chloe has been really good with her pacifier. She is pretty good at holding it to keep it in her mouth, so nice!
Tommi has been recovering really well. She reports that she already feels better than she did before giving birth. From my perspective, it took Tommi about 3 weeks to feel how she is feeling now when she had Jimmy.

Baby Jared's newborn pictures
A few days after he was born the Cottams came over to take some newborn pictures. unlike most babies he was very much awake the whole time and wanted to stretch out and be held. We weren't able to get him to do any "poses" but Alan did get some good shots while he was being held. I actually really like how awake he is since you don't normally get to see newborns so active
I thought it was great that most of the pictures we got were with Jesse since at the hospital almost all of them were with Julie
I love his half smile in this one
I like this picture because this is the face he usually makes at me : ) confused and worried
Luckly for Julie and Jesse, Michelle and James were able to take some more pictures for them.
Welcoming Baby Jared
Earlier this semester we were able to share our excitement for Julie and Jessie for thier new baby by having a baby shower. It was a lot of fun to have family and friends together and to play games. I was especially impressed with Cassidy's diaper cake, it reminded me how little newborns are to see those tiny diapers.
Then on June 22 we were able to meet the little man in person at the hospital. Here are some pictures from his first day here
We were all in love with his beautiful long hair. (especially the highlights) and we loved that he had the same cowlick as his dad.
