James-Myler's First Trip to Disneyland

Our Disneyland Adventures were very nice and memorable. We got all geared up and ready to go and were excited to take Jimmy with us on Tuesday. We got him a "1st Visit!" pin and strapped him into his stroller.

Since we got to Disneyland later than expected (after 10 am) we decided to take the little guy in to California Adventure first and took him on Monsters Inc. He really liked the ride, I think because all of the colors and I was surprised at how well he was able to follow everything.

Next we went up to a bug's land and went on a few rides and watched the 3d show "It's Tough to be a Bug" and he really liked it too (except for when they sprayed him with water... wasn't a fan of that). We noticed that after all the stimulating rides, Jimmy was quick to fall asleep afterwords while we waited in the next line and would wake up as soon as we would get on the rides ready to go. We took him on the Mickey fun wheel and here are some pics of that.

When we got to the top they stopped, making Tommi rather nervous but we got to take some pictures which were fun.

We also went and watched the Aladin Musical, which stared Tommi's 2nd cousin who played the main character, the Genie. It was so good we ended up going back a second time on our last day.

After spending that time in California Adventure we took Jimmy over to Disneyland where we decided to walk around and see what to take Jimmy on. We tried to take him on some of the classic rides but they all had lines that were an hour long so we decided to keep walking. While walking we ran into Tommi's cousins who were in line for big thunder railroad and we handed Jimmy off with a cousin and all went on that ride. It was a lot of fun!

A picture of Tommi while we were waiting in line. We actually got in a little water fight while we were in line since it was such a hot day.

When we got off that ride we were planing on taking the raft over to Mark Twain's Island, but when we walked by Pirates of the Caribbean the line was only 10 minutes so we decided to go on.

We were a little worried about how Jimmy would handle the drops in the ride, but figured he really likes getting thrown in the air and he would probably enjoy it. As we dropped Tommi was holding him and she had to do everything she could to keep from screaming but Jimmy had no reaction (didn't tighten his grip, didn't cry, nothing). The only time Jimmy cried was when he realized the ride was over.

Once again, when we got off the ride Jimmy was out cold by the time we went up and through Tarzan's Tree house.

Jimmy woke up when we went of the safari river boat ride. We were sitting close to the speaker and so he didn't like how loud it was but was fine as we covered his ears for the rest of the trip.

We went on the Whiney the Poo ride after, to finish the day as we left early so Jimmy could go meet his Aunt Char for the first time. He really liked the food and he really liked meeting Char, and also her dog : )
